1. EDITORIAL

The months seem to be flying past. I'm happy to report that the runnings of Direction are now under control, last update I was deeply entrenched in emails, website updates, databases, and of course bills. That hasn't changed. The new Direction management is striving to publish Issues twice yearly. THE FUTURE Due for release in June 2002, will be the first since late 2000. It is jam packed with information relevant to teachers and new students of the Technique. Read on for a summary of the contents.

A new training school will open on Sydney's North Shore on April 29th. Diana Devitt-Dawson trained with Patrick Macdonald and after teaching within his faculty returned to Australia, where she has been teaching for the past 15 years.

KAUAI ALEXANDER COURSE 2002 HAWAII
MAY 21 - 28, 2002
Since 1990 we have organized an annual residential course on the beautiful island of
Kauai in Hawaii. The main idea was to offer individual work in the Alexander Technique
in a small group setting, during an intensive six-day period. As our goal of keeping the
course small (10-12 students), we also realized the importance of free time to absorb
the information and enjoy the island.
